Effect of Foundation Stiffness on Active Magnetic Bearing Suspension

The effect of low foundation stiffness on active magnetic bearing suspension is studied Criteria for analysing the seriousness of foundation resonances are developed and a measurement procedure is proposed for analysing real machines. The test machine was measured in different mountings to get practical information about foundation behaviour.
