Contribution to Design of Hybrid magnetic bearings

Basic formulas for determining the magnetic force in the air gap of the electromagnet are derived at the beginning of this article. The application of these formulas for the heteropolar type and homopolar type AMB is described in the next sections of this article. The analysis of the magnetic circuit of the homopolar AMB with PM and three-phase excitation winding is given in Part IV. The formulas and recommendations for designing main dimensions of the AMB with PM are given in Part V.
