Effect of Eddy Currents on the Stray Flux Based Measurement System for Magnetic Bearing
This paper concerns the behaviour and special characteristics of an alternative measurement system for magnetic bearing based on stray flux which depends on the rotor position. The impact of eddy currents on the dynamic properties will be analysed and methods for compensation will be presented. Furthermore the effect of electromagnetic disturbance will be a matter and how it can be reduced by special sensor design.
