Design of Water Treatment Compressors Equipped with Active Magnetic Bearings

High Speed Tech Ltd. has constructed a high-speed water treatment compressor. The rotational speed is 42 000 rpm and the power is 75 kW. In this paper, a part of the facts that have to be considered when designing a high-speed machine are treated. In addition, some measurement results from the type tests are presented.
