Design of Novel Bearing-Less Electromagnetic Actuator in Valve Operation
A new bistable electromagnetic actuator is designed and modelled. The actuator with a magnetically moved plunger represents the main part of a valve intended for control of flow of electrically non-conductive liquids. Presented is the basic concept of the valve together with its mathematical model that is solved numerically by the code Agros2D developed by the authors. The aim of the work is to verify the functionality of the device and find its basic operation characteristics.
